WHAT IS MASSAGE?

Massage is the manual working of deeper and superficial layers of connective tissue and muscle, using a variety of techniques, to improve function, stimulate the healing process, and promote relaxation and well-being.

MASSAGE THERAPY SERVICES AVAILABLE

DEEP TISSUE

Deep tissue massage is designed to relieve tension in connective tissue and muscles. This type of massage focuses on the deeper layers of muscle. If you suffer from consistant muscular pain and fatigue, perform regular strenuous activities or are “stressed out”, then this approach may help you.

SPORTS

There are many benefits associated with having a sports massage:

  • Injury prevention
  • Improved flexibility and range of motion
  • Faster recovery from injury
  • Removal of lactic acid buildup
  • Better sports performance

REMEDIAL

Remedial massage is a generally a deep massage used to help return the body back to health in response to muscle injury or aches and pains. It is not designed to be necessarily relaxing, however it can provide great relief from problems such as tendonitis, strains, ligament tears and muscular discomfort due to poor posture or tension.

PREGNANCY

When pregnancy occurs, sometimes muscular aches and pains can develop due to associated bodily changes. Pregnancy massage performed by a qualified person, can provide great relief and leave you feeling more energetic and relaxed.
